I’m sure most of you heard by now via Twitter and Facebook,
B-FRY AND I ARE ENGAGED!!!!
I don’t even know where to begin with all the emotions I’ve been feeling. I’m beyond ecstatic and have had the biggest smile on my face since it happened. I’m finally going to be a Mrs! Eek! *happy dance*
I’m sure you’re all dying to know how it all went down, we’ve told the story a million times and I’m sure we’ll be telling it a million more. 
The day started off with me seeing B-Fry off to work and he told me that he was going to try to take a half day because there wasn’t going to be much going on in the office. I told him good luck with that and I’d see him around 4pm. (He seems to always be wanting to get outta there early, but it never works in his favor) I went off to bed and got up a couple of hours later.
Before I got into the shower B-Fry called to let me know that he was going to be home in an hour and to be ready that he was going to take me somewhere. I didn’t think anything of it and was pretty excited that he did get a half day and I’d be seeing him soon.
Well, turns out that he had actually gotten off work at 11:00 and met my parents for lunch. He wanted to be a proper gentleman and ask them. Too cute! My dad gave him a couple of fist bumps and told him to go for it. Haha. That’s my dad. B-Fry then went out to his grandparent’s house where he had taken the ring the night before because he didn’t trust himself to keep it a secret and would propose early. He then came home and picked me up.
All I was told that we were just going to go for a walk since it was nice out and to bring along my camera for pictures. We headed over to the Iowa side of the river to a place we used to frequent when I lived over there. I should have probably caught on at this point. Haha.
We get to the park and there’s a swing there that we call “our swing,” we’ve sat there on several occasions and have shared many great conversations. Well next to the swing there’s the bum sitting at a bench drinking some beer. B-Fry kept saying “Gosh is that bum ever going to leave?” and I told him it wasn’t a big deal, we could still sit at the swing. Well, we ended up walking around and taking some pictures before heading back to our swing. The bum was still there and now there was some guy taking pictures of his car. B-Fry again was like “They ever going to go?” I told him just to sit on the swing, who really cares if they’re there.
Ya…I’m still clueless….
Finally the bum leaves, but the guy is still taking pictures of his car and then a personal trainer and his trainee come up and start working out close to us. B-Fry became annoyed once again. After about 10 minutes everyone disappeared and it was just the two of us.
We were just sitting there swinging and chatting when he says out of nowhere, something to the fact of us spending the rest of our lives together. I told him ya, that it was going to be pretty freaking awesome. B-Fry then gets up off the swing and stands there for a second, I asked him what he was doing and he said “Nothing, just stretching.”
Then he gets on his knee and pulls out the ring box and says “Will you marry me?” I said yes and started crying. I covered him in kisses and asked him if he was going to put the ring on me. Of course he did and we sat on the swing with some pretty big smiles on our faces and I couldn’t stop kissing his cute face.
It was simple, sweet, and absolutely perfect. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. He really is the freaking best and makes me the happiest I have EVER been.
The night was filled with phone calls, dinner with his parents, and then home with some wine and red velvet cake. Again…perfect.
Tonight we’ll do some real celebrating! We’re doing dinner with my family and then off to our favorite bar for drinks. It’ll be awesome.

Now let the wedding planning begin! We haven’t set a date yet, but it will be sometime around this time next year. And yes, there will probably be a wedding blog.
