Amazing Things

Happy Friday everyone! Glad it’s finally here! Especially since I thought Wednesday was Friday, only to realize it was not! Don’t you hate it when that happens?!

Just wanting to share with you some awesome things that have been happening for me. I love celebrating and sharing the good things!!

First off, THANK YOU all who voted for me in Reduced Fat Girl’s contest! I’m happy to report that I WON! With almost 12,000 votes! You guys rock and make me feel super loved!

Also, she has started a ‘Success Stories’ feature on her site. There are some GREAT stories over there! Read them, feel inspired, and submit your own!

Cannot wait to use that $100 for Fitbloggin’ expenses! (Is is June yet?!)

Speaking of expenses, I have a workout video game/DVD addiction.

In an attempt to save money for said Fitbloggin’ trip, I’ve decided to put myself on a workout video game/DVD fast. This is tough for me because I only workout at home and easily get bored. Which is why I own so many.

Well a dear blog reader, Pauly contacted me and said she had Turbo Fire just sitting in her closet collecting dust. So, she said she would gladly send it to me!

I cannot wait to get it and challenge myself! Thank you so much again Pauly!

I really have the greatest readers/fans! I can’t thank you guys enough for the support you give me and for thinking I’m an inspiration. Can you believe that I hit 1,000 fan on my Facebook Page last night?!

I cannot believe it! Like I said on there last night, this small-town Midwest girl never thought in a million years I’d have fans all over the world! It’s awesome knowing you all look up to me! I want you guys to know that I also look up to you! Because I know the courage it takes to make a change and all the hard work it entails. I also know that every single one of you are worth it! <3

Just like you all come to me for inspiration, there are several people I go to too. One of them is Heather of Half Size Me. She has an AWESOME podcast where she interviews amazing people who have lost weight.

I try to listen weekly while cooking dinner. And I’ve been secretly hoping she would want to interview me.

Well guess what?! It’s going to happen! She contacted me and wants to do a podcast interview with me! There was total dancing around when I read that. I need to email her to work out the details and as soon as I know, you will all know! Gah I’m pumped! I love sharing my story!

Which I get to share my story tomorrow at my local Weight Watchers One Amazing Day! It’s happening all over, so be sure to check out the events at your local Weight Watchers! Here’s the link to find one near you: One Amazing Day Locations

So much good in my life right now. I’m forever grateful for everything! I hope life is treating you all well too!

What is amazing in your life?

Weekly Weigh In: Thankful Edition

Starting Weight: 327.6
Current Weight: 206.8
Last Week: 208
Loss/Gain: -1.2
Total Loss: 120.8lbs

Yay for losing the weight I gained last week and then some! I had a really AWESOME week!!

Saturday B-Fry and I went out for our 4-month anniversary. We went to dinner at Lemongrass Café, which serves delicious Thai food. I had Rama with tofu. It was flippin delicious! It had a peanut sauce that had a little bit of heat to it. Something I would totally have again! After dinner we went to Fireworks and painted pottery. B-Fry being the artist he is got uber creative and sketched a tree on his plate and I being the horrible drawer simplest did a bowl with a heart, polka dots, and stars. It was a lot of fun and something out of the ordinary for us. I’m sure will be doing it again. Then after all that it was off to our favorite bar, Bent River. They were serving $3.00 hurricanes, so I couldn’t pass those up. Lol. After a couple of those, B-Fry and I decided to do a shot. So, we did a shot of Crown Royale to “4 months and many more years.” Haha. It was a really good night.

Our Pottery!

Sunday night my best friend, Jenny and her husband, Matt were in town from Seattle. So, we all headed down to Bent River again and had a couple of beers. It was great seeing them and catching up!

So my weekend was awesome, but Monday may have been just a smidge better…..

Wanna know why?

I WON!!! I WON THE TICKET TO FIT BLOGGIN’!!

I watched the video and screamed when I saw that I won. Then I danced around my apartment. Maybe I should have recorded that. ;) I’m soooooo excited I won. I cannot wait to go!

My life is so awesome.

Since today is Thanksgiving, I thought I would blog about what I’m thankful for. And no worries, writing this blog isn’t taking away from family time, I’m actually typing this at work. Yes…I’m at work….when you work in the healthcare field, you don’t get holidays off. Lamesauce.

Anyway….on to what I’m thankful for….

My Amazing Family!

*My Family! These people are my rocks, without them, I am nothing. My dad is always good for a laugh with his nicknames he gives everyone he meets. My mom is such a strong lady and is always there when I need her. My sister is my VERY best friend and always has my back. My brother is so much like my dad and can make me laugh no matter the situation. My extended family is great and every time we all get together we have the best time ever. You should be jealous of my kick ass family!

We Make Sexy Lumberjacks!

*B-Fry! This guy is everything I have ever wanted in a boyfriend. He is really the best. He makes me laugh, is the world’s greatest cuddler, can cook, takes care of me, and makes my heart incredibly happy. My life has gotten amazingly more awesome since he entered it. Gosh, I love this man!

*B-Fry’s Family! I’ve never dated a guy with a good family before. B-Fry has a great family! They have been very welcoming and have definitely made me feel like one of them. They rock!

*My Friends! All my friends, real life and online are awesome. Always there for me when I need to chat or need a hug.

My Baby

*Atticus! He is my baby and is always good for a cuddle. He jumps up in my arms when I pat my chest and has the most odd meows. He makes me smile when he greets me at the door.

*Weight Watchers! This is the program that has helped me to lose over 120 lbs. If it weren’t for WW, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I know that I’m the one who has done the work, but WW has given me the tools to do the work.

*My Blog Readers! Without you guys I wouldn’t have this blog. So thanks for sticking around!!

I’m also thankful for:

*Books, music, photography, avocados, my BlackBerry, blank notebooks, stickers, Letters Of Love, Soft Lips chapstick, Diet Dr Pepper, zip up hoodies, kisses, hugs, sleep, Laughing Cow cheese, water, Twitter, black eye liner, slippers, hot showers, running, my foam roller, and a million other things.

My life is good and I have a lot to be thankful for.

What are YOU thankful for?!
Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Happy Birthday To Me! And A Birthday Challenge!

Today is my birthday.

I’m officially a quarter of a century old.

I love it!

If you haven’t noticed, I’m all about birthdays. I love celebrating mine!

A lot has changed in the last year and I couldn’t be more happy with the changes.

I’m healthier which is what I’m most proud of.

I’m 70lbs thinner.

I have more confidence than I ever have in my life.

I’ve become more outgoing.

I’ve just had a great year.

This year is going to be better. I have decided that 25 is going to be my best year yet. And it will be. I can pretty much promise that!

Things I want to accomplish in my 25th year:

* Buy a DSLR Camera
* Go on an awesome vacation
* Do a 365 picture project
* Hit my goal weight
* Go on a road trip
* See mountains
* Try a new recipe every month

I will be living life to the fullest and it will be epically awesome!

On to other things….healthy living things….

Now, I’ve been slacking in the exercise department. So I’ve decided to do a comment challenge. Jewlia did one and is now going to walk/run/bike 102 miles before the end of the month.

So, I’ve been thinking of something I can do. And I will be doing a challenge similar to Jewlia’s and having my comments equal mileage.

The specifics:

* For every comment on my blog I will walk/run/skip/dance/strut a mile

* For every tweet about my challenge on Twitter I will do 1/2 mile

* Only 5 comments and 5 tweets per person. I don’t want things to get too crazy.

* All comments and tweets need to be in by Sunday July 25th 11:59pm, Central time.

* I must complete the mileage by August 24th.

Comment and tweet away!! (Hoping I don’t regret this. Haha)

Wow….this post was really all over the place. Sorry, my mind is currently thinking of what the B-Fry could possibly have planned for my birthday. It’s a surprise and it’s killing me. Haha.

Oh, and meeting his parents went awesomely well. :o ) They adore me….of course. Hehe.

Well I’m off to sit at work and wait for 7am to get here!!
