Bump Update: Week 36

Bump Update: Week 36

How far along? We will officially be 37 weeks tomorrow. I think time has flown by up until this last week. Now I feel like it is taking forever.

Maternity clothes? Anything that doesn’t include pants is my current preference. Unless they’re yoga pants, I’ll never be sick of those. The skirt in the above picture has gotten a ton of use lately. So comfortable!

Sleep? Well, it is currently 4:00am as I’m writing this blog post. So, today sleep isn’t the best. I’ve actually been sleeping pretty well and often. Naps are glorious!

Best moment this week? We had our last childbirth class on Sunday! We passed and they’re going to let us leave the hospital with our baby! 😉 While it wasn’t the most fun to attend class on a Sunday afternoon, I’m really glad we did. All the little tips and tricks we learned on how to cope with labor will really be useful when the time comes!

Symptoms? I’m currently never cool enough. I have the air conditioning pretty much on full blast wherever I may be. I’m also tired often and find it hard to get comfortable with this bump in front.

Food cravings? I cannot get enough smoothies lately! I think I’ve had one for breakfast every day the last 2-3 weeks. My favorite combo lately is almond milk, oatmeal, banana, cinnamon, & vanilla protein powder. So tasty! Also, I love anything sweet. Ice cream….popsicles….candy…..I’m not too picky.

Food aversions? None that I can think of. I haven’t had too many of those throughout my pregnancy.

Gender? Still hoping she comes out a girl! 😉

Labor signs? I’ve had a couple of Braxton Hicks contractions, but not too bad.

What I miss? I’m currently missing being able to move as easily as I used to. I miss not being sweaty over nothing as well. Oh and sushi….I want a spicy tuna roll SO BAD!

What I’m looking forward to? Besides seeing her for the first time, I’m excited for our couple’s shower tomorrow! I’m also excited to be done with work for a bit.

I cannot believe we are in the final weeks of pregnancy! It seems like we just announced it to the world and now we’re putting the final touches on her nursery. Which I cannot wait to show you guys! Speaking of that, I think I’ll go work on finishing her quilt!

What’s new in your world?
Any thing I should be doing these last few weeks of pregnancy?

Bump Update: Week 30

Bump Update: Week 30

How far along? We hit 30 weeks last Saturday! Cannot believe there is about 10 weeks to go. Eeek!!

Maternity clothes? I realized that my leggings weren’t going to continue to work through the last couple of months of pregnancy, so I finally invested in some dress pants. Again, maternity clothes are so comfy! I also invested in some over sized t-shirts to lounge around in since Mr. B’s aren’t quite cutting it anymore.

Sleep? I’m sleeping fairly well still. I owe it a lot to the Snoogle and our memory foam mattress pad. I’m getting up in the middle of the night to pee more often and there are the occasional leg cramps. Other than that, I can’t complain too much.

Best moment this week?
Last Saturday was my baby shower, which was amazing! Also, Mr. B reading to Baby B before bed is one of the best things ever. <3 Symptoms? Holy heartburn! This baby better have a head full of hair to make this heartburn with it.

Food cravings? Anything sweet or lemon. I’ve been enjoying ice cream about once a week, which is not as often as I’d like. 😉

Food aversions?
The strong smell of coffee is still something I don’t enjoy.

Gender? Baby B is a girl!

Labor signs? I’ve had some slight cramping, but nothing to get worked up about.

Belly button in or out?
Still an innie. I’m not too sure that my belly button with pop.

What I miss?
BEER! I have dreams about drinking beer lately. Lol

What I’m looking forward to? There is so much I’m looking forward to now! I can’t wait to have the nursery all done, see her, hold her, and all the goodness that comes with a baby.

Well, the biggest one is I don’t have gestational diabetes! Woo! I’m also loving seeing Baby B move around now. Not only can I see the kicks, but now you can see her moving from side to side. It is so freaking cool!

Bump? Large and in charge! 🙂 I love my bump.

I’m really trying to enjoy these last months of pregnancy, which isn’t always easy. Especially when you feel much larger than you are, get winded easily, and at times feeling like you have no control over your body. Thankfully, there’s a lot more to enjoy about this all than not. I love feeling her move, knowing that soon she’ll be in our arms, and getting everything ready for her arrival.

It’s pretty darn incredible. <3
What’s good in your life right now?

Bump Update: Week 21

Bump Update: Week 21

How far along? We hit 21 weeks on Sunday! How is this already more than halfway over?!

How big is Baby B? According to my Ovia App, Baby B is the size of a baby bok choy, a baseball hat, or a weasel. If you ask me, that’s a pretty wide range of sizes!

Maternity clothes? Yes! Maternity jeans are comfy, you guys! I also finally caved and got some maternity/nursing bras. Not sure why I didn’t do this again sooner, they’re super comfy than trying to shove the girls in a regular bra. I have some super cute tops I got at the Motherhood Outlet in Omaha as well.

Sleep? MUCH better after we invested in a Serta Memory Foam 4 inch Mattress Pad from Kohl’s this past weekend. It is like sleeping on a cloud, well what I imagine a cloud to feel like. Bonus, they were 1/2 off last weekend as well!

Best moment this week? We started our registry! I cannot believe how much stuff a little human needs! It was a lot of fun to hit up Target and Babies-R-Us to add some super cute things to our list.

Food cravings? I’m loving banana peppers, lemonade, and carbs.

Food aversions? None, there are some smells I don’t care for though. Strong coffee and beer are gross to me.

Gender? We find out Sunday at our gender reveal party!

Labor signs? None, which I hope remains that way for quite some time!

Belly button in or out? Still in!

What I miss? Sushi! I would kill for some tuna right now. I would also really like a nice dark, chocolately stout. Oh and not getting so short of breath would be nice too! 😉

What I’m looking forward to? I cannot wait for Sunday to see if Baby B is a boy or girl! I’m thinking girl and Mr. B was thinking boy, but has recently come to the pink side.

Milestones? Baby B is quite the tumbler! Cannot believe how much this little one moves!

Bump? Very present!
