Weekly Weigh In: ONEDERLAND edition!

I started this journey with a 3 in front.

After almost 3 years, I finally have a 1 to begin that number.

I don’t remember the last time that happened.

All I know is that number will never begin with a 2 or 3 again.

I did it….

I hit ONEDERLAND!

I quickly took a picture this morning and barged into the bedroom scaring the crap outta B-Fry. I’ve cried and have really been in shock. This is awesome.

Life is good.

Accomplished!

Remember about 6 weeks ago when I set some birthday goals for myself? Well, Sunday is my birthday and I’m super proud to report that I have accomplished 2 out of 3 of those goals!! :)

The goals were:

1) Bike 100 miles by my birthday
2) Workout at least 3x’s a week
3) Hit onederland

I have faithfully worked out 3-5 times a week over the 6 weeks! Which means I now have $60 in a ‘Fun Fund’!!

But the goal I am most excited to say I accomplished is:

I biked 100 miles!!!!!

I feel crazy awesome about accomplishing this goal! Not going to lie I was a little worried when there was a week where I couldn’t do much biking because of rain. But, today I finished my last 4 miles for a total of 100!

Accomplishing this goal means I can order a copy of Roni’s cookbook, Green Lite Bites!! I’m excited to get my copy!

Here are a few pictures from today’s epically awesome ride!

Riding the last mile!

Action shot!

After I hit 100 miles!

I was feeling pretty bad ass! :)

The only goal I didn’t accomplish was hitting onederland. I reached out on Facebook and a few people suggested I amp up my resistance training. So, I’m going to be putting that into motion after my birthday weekend!

Speaking of my birthday weekend, I’m pretty stoked about it! Tonight I’m doing dinner with B-Fry and his parents. Tomorrow I’m hanging out with my sister and mom all day. Then tomorrow night we’re going out on the town to have a few drinks and do some dancing! :) And on Sunday, B-Fry and I are going away for the night to Galena, IL. We’re staying at a nice inn with a lake, beach, and pool. And I have heard Galena is a super cute town. So I’m excited to get away for a night!

Oh and if you’re still shopping for my birthday present, I’m needing an iPad! I’m also needing kettlebells, a wedding photographer under $1000, and some new clothes cause a girl can never have enough of those! :)

What’s going on in your world this weekend?

It’s Baaaaack!! #AwesomeByAugust!

Remember this awesome icon from last year?

Well, Awesome By August is back for another year! Some things have changed so, listen up!

First off, we have our own Facebook page where we’ll be having the weekly weigh ins and a place to offer support to each other.

Sign up is from today until Tuesday (7/12) 10pm ET time, all you have to do is post your starting weight and a goal you want to accomplish during the 4 weeks of the competition. This goal is to be non-weight related! So, maybe you want to run a mile, maybe you want to lose 3 inches of your body, or maybe you just want to cook dinner 3 nights a week. Just come up with a goal! :)

Weekly weigh ins will be posted on the Facebook page also. You MUST post your weight if you want to win prizes. Weigh ins must be posted by Monday at midnight ET!

Speaking of prizes, we’ll be doing a drawing every week for someone to win a prize. This will be at random, not by who is losing the most weight. And at the end of the four weeks, there will be a bigger prize drawing for people who have participated EVERY week.

There will also be a couple of Twitter chats to see how people are doing. And if you use Twitter, make sure to use the hashtag #awesomebyaugust when talking about the competition!

Also, be sure to make use of the Facebook page. Need advice? Post on the wall. Just had a kick ass workout? Post on the wall! We’re all here for you! :)

Oh, this runs from 7/11/11-8/8/11! Make sure you get those weigh ins in!!

Now, Steve, Kerri, and I stress that this is a HEALTHY and fun weight loss competition. We all need support sometimes, so please be supportive and be smart about the competition. Let’s all be Awesome by August!!
