Brooke: Not on a Diet's WIAW: Week 13

I’m really happy with my eating this week! It really needed to be spot on so I could lose what I gained after indulging in a crap ton of that dip my sister made at my dad’s party.

I even stayed within my weeklies and activity points! This hasn’t happened in ages! Usually I’m going over my 10 or so. So, go me!

There isn’t anything too exciting about my eats this week! Although I did discover a yummy oatmeal combo and had my first meat in a month! My awesome oatmeal combo is 1-2 packets of Better Oats’ Oat Fit Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal with a banana mixed in. It seriously tasted like banana bread! So good!

Any exciting eats for you this week?
My favorite was the meal I ate out with my parents on Saturday. We went to a local place called Fresh Deli. I plan on talking about it soon! If you’re a Quad City resident, I totally suggest trying it out! They even had vegetarian options! Woot!

Holy crap guys! Look at that! I’m less than 10lbs from goal!

I am in utter shock!

When I started this journey waaaaay back in 2009, I honestly never pictured myself at goal. It was impossible to do so. I mean, I can’t remember a time when I had weighed 150lbs. I’m sure it was in my way younger years. So I had no idea what to expect and honestly, I wasn’t 100% sure I would stick it out.

But I did, through all the ups and downs, I stayed with it. And if I did veer off track, it never was for long and I would hope back on. All that persistence has paid off.

I now sit here (actually lay here since I’m typing this on my phone in bed. Lol) with goal within arm’s reach. It’s so close I can taste it and man is it sweet.

It’s so close and I’m oh so ready for it!

Oh and slightly freaking out! ;)

WIAW Week 6

After my terribad eating last week, I gained 2lbs. Which of course is no surprise at all. This week was much better food wise! I got my butt right back on track, just like I knew I would. I did eat out Friday and Saturday nights, but made smart choices! Saturday was actually dinner with the fabulous Emily! We go together to work on a challenge that will be coming your way soon! I’m pretty excited to team up with one of my favorite bloggers!

After going out with her, Mr. B and I hit up the hookah bar and the our favorite local brewery, Bent River. I did have a few drinks, but nothing out of control. I didn’t let my drinking lead me to a munch fest either. That was going to be the only beer I had but, on Monday Bent River decided to bring out some Sweet Potato Ale in time for V-Day. I knew that I could get some later in the week, so I wasn’t going to rush out to get it. That was until they posted on their Facebook that they were randalling it through roasted pumpkin seeds and cinnamon sticks. SAY WHAT?!?! Mr. B told me this and explained it was for Monday night only. Needless to say after dinner we rushed down there and enjoyed a couple of brews. One of just the randalled sweet potato and one of the randalled sweet potato mixed with their Oatmeal Stout. Ya, it was pretty much heaven in a glass. So yummy….

Now I just need to stay out of the growler full of the stuff in the fridge! Gonna try to save it until tomorrow night for Valentine’s Day!

Other than the beer, like I said my eating was awesome! Felt good to be back at it! Here were my eats for the week!

There’s my eats for the week! A lot of the same and some different. The worst thing foodwise was probably the chowder. It did have a cup of cheese in it. But it originally called for 2 cups and I did do 2% cheese. So, I made better choices! :) We shall see what my weigh in brings later tonight!

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day! Mr. B and I have cooked dinner at home the last few years. Which is the plan again this year. Apparently he wants to attempt lobster tails for dinner. I’m not sure how that’s going to go, but we shall see! If that fails, our local cafe is running a dinner special! We will also be enjoying some of the randalled Sweet Potato Ale w/ Oatmeal Stout too! Then probably just relax and catch up on Shameless! Sounds perfect to me! :)
