Ripped In 30 (Round 2) Results! (and exciting things!)

One of my goals for the month of September was to complete Ripped in 30 again. I’m happy to report that I did just that! I found that it was a bit easier this time around since I am 25 pounds lighter than the first go at it.

My results this time around weren’t as crazy awesome as the first round, but I am still SUPER happy with them! In fact the ONLY place I lost inches was my waist, but I feel incredibly stronger after finishing it and I can tell that my biceps are more profound.

I ended up losing 2.5 inches from my waist! How awesome is that? It is one of my trouble areas, so I’m always happy to see it getting smaller!

My next challenge on deck is going to be Insanity!


I was lucky enough for a super awesome blog reader to read my birthday wish list and send it to me! Not going to lie, I’m a wee bit scared, but I’m ready to take on the challenge!

Enough about fitness!

Mr. B and I spent the weekend with my cousin, her boyfriend, and their adorable son! It was a great weekend and it was so nice to get away for a short time. Friday night was spent at a piano bar in Chicago and Saturday was just a relaxing day. I can’t wait to head back there next month to help celebrate little man’s 1st birthday!

Ripped in 30 (round 2!)

About a year ago I tackled Ripped in 30 and had some pretty great results. Well, I’ve decided to tackle it again to see what results I get this time. I’m at least hoping to build some muscle and reduce my body fat percentage.

Like all of the other workout DVD challenges I’ve done, I’ll be posting my before pictures and my measurements. I won’t be reviewing the DVD weekly this time around though because I already did that in my first go through of Ripped in 30. You can go back to those posts to see what I thought about each week.

The plan for the month is to do Ripped in 30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, & Saturday. Wednesdays will be a rest day with either yoga or a walk. Sundays will be a yoga day. I will also be doing bike rides throughout the month to reach my goal of biking 100 miles in the month of September.

On Monday, my mom, sister, brother’s girlfriend, and I all got together and wrote out plans for activity on a calendar for this month. We are all trying to improve in that area, so working out a plan was great. We’re also sending each other accountability pictures throughout the month and when we hit our goals, we’re going to spend a girl’s day together and get facials!


It is great having a group work towards a goal together! I’m excited to see how we all smash our goals!

Completing Ripped in 30 and biking 100 miles isn’t my only goal this month. In fact I have a few others and I posted them up on Instagram last night. And Kristine from KDLB had a great tip of making it my lock screen on my phone! So, I did just that and am reminded of my goals often! Here’s what else I’m working on this month….


I’m excited to see what Ripped in 30 brings along with how I rock all my other goals!

Here they are, the results you have all been waiting for since I started my Ripped in 30 Challenge a month ago. People love seeing results, my 30 Day Shred results post is still one of my most popular. I don’t blame them, I’m a sucker for the same thing!

So without further ado, here’s before and after!



My beginning measurements:

Weight: 181.0lbs
Hips: 42.5″
L. Thigh: 22.5″
Waist: 33.5″
L. Calf: 16″
Bust: 38.5″
L. Arm: 13.5″


Weight: 177.4lbs
Hips: 42″
L. Thigh: 20.5″
Waist: 32″
Calf: 16″
Bust: 37″ (I had to go bra shopping for a smaller size…AGAIN. Ugh)
L. Arm: 13.5″

Total Pounds Lost: 3.6lbs
Total Inches Lost: 7.5 inches (includes both arms and legs)

I’m rather happy with the results I had! Sure it isn’t super noticeable in pictures, but I can feel it. My pants are more loose, even though I just got them. My girls shrunk another cup size, my biceps are great, and I’m starting to form muscles in my back.

It’s amazing to see the changes in my body. Hard to believe I never knew what muscles were or what my hip bones felt like. Love this journey and all it has done for me!
