Doing It

I’ve been M.I.A again…..

You may be thinking it’s because I haven’t been working towards my goals and being a slacker.

Well, that’s not it at all!!

I’ve been doing it!

I’ve been tracking, biking, and working out. Eating well, 30 day shredding, and shedding some weight.

Ya, I’ve been rocking it out. And I’m quite pleased with myself. The last two weeks I’ve accomplished things I haven’t been able to do. My body is much stronger than I really thought. I love it!

Last week I biked 6 miles when I’ve only done no more than 4 in the past. And another day last week I did level 2 of Jillian’s 30 Day Shred which I’ve never even attempted before.

Go me!

My weight loss hasn’t been very much the last two weeks. In fact it hasn’t even been a pound. But, I’m not letting that get me down. I’m REALLY happy with the choices I’ve been making. And I can tell I’m losing inches. My waist that had disappeared is starting to make its return!

Things are going awesome here!

Goals, Goals, Goals!

Isn’t it funny how a weight loss blogger will go into a hiding when the weight loss isn’t going so well?

Ya, I’ve been one of those bloggers.

I’ve been struggling. Badly. I can’t seem to get back on this train and keep riding. I know that I mentioned in this post that I was “just going to do it.” And I did do it…

….for one week.

Then this last week I didn’t workout, I didn’t track, I didn’t do what I know what to do.

I’m just getting really irritated with myself. Irritated that I’m not losing weight and irritated that I’ve let myself put some of this weight back on.

And instead of continuing to be irritated with myself, I’m going to do something about it. The other night at work I decided to set some goals for myself.

There are 3 goals and each one has a reward. I do better with goals and rewards. I would like to meet these goals by my 26th birthday on July 24th. Which is exactly 6 weeks away. I know that the goals I’ve set are very maintainable if I do what I need to do. This means no more half-assing it.

So my goals are:

1) Bike 100 miles
2) Be under 200lbs
3) Workout at least 3 times a week

My rewards are as follows:

1) Bike 100 miles- Copy of Roni’s cookbook
2) Get under 200lbs- Subscription to a wedding magazine :)
3) Workout 3 times a week- $10 every week to a ‘Fun Fund’

So there we have it, goals and rewards. I will be sure to update my progress to all my fantastic readers! :)

Time to rock it out!!

Marching On Through March

I forgot to post my Weekly weigh in post on Friday. My sister came into town and we had a girl’s day with my mom. Facials were included! :) Much needed! Then we went out on Friday and hung out on Saturday. It was a great weekend.

Anyways, the results of my weigh in, I lost 1.4lbs! Finally the scale is going in the right direction! As for my goals, the water one went swimmingly well, as did eating less sweets. As for working out…ya..that didn’t happen. I’d say 2 out of 3 ain’t bad though!! Hoping for another loss this week! *fingerscrossed*

It’s officially March, well yesterday was, but that’s just a minor detail! I like the start of a new month, it feels like a fresh beginning. And I’ve been needing one of those. Let’s face it, January and February weren’t the best months for me.

Not much movement in the weight loss department nor much movement with my own body. There really aren’t any excuses besides the fact that I just wasn’t feeling it. But I need to quit using that as an excuse because having that as one just isn’t going to get me to my goal weight. Which is something I so desperately want.

I need to start keeping that in mind like I used to. I used to always have it in the back of my mind, but lately it has been replaced with other things. So, it’s time to hop back into weight loss mode instead of maintain mode. I have about 50 more pounds to lose and that isn’t going to happen at this rate.

To make things happen, we’re going to make some goals. Well, I’m going to make them, you’re just going to read about them.

March Goals:

* Earn 75 activity points

* Meet my Good Health Guidelines at least 20 of the 31 days in March

* Write a recipe or food review

* Hit Onederland!

* Go on a photog walk!

There you have it, my goals for March. This time I’m actually going to make them happen instead of saying I’m going to….seriously.
