Amazing Things

Happy Friday everyone! Glad it’s finally here! Especially since I thought Wednesday was Friday, only to realize it was not! Don’t you hate it when that happens?!

Just wanting to share with you some awesome things that have been happening for me. I love celebrating and sharing the good things!!

First off, THANK YOU all who voted for me in Reduced Fat Girl’s contest! I’m happy to report that I WON! With almost 12,000 votes! You guys rock and make me feel super loved!

Also, she has started a ‘Success Stories’ feature on her site. There are some GREAT stories over there! Read them, feel inspired, and submit your own!

Cannot wait to use that $100 for Fitbloggin’ expenses! (Is is June yet?!)

Speaking of expenses, I have a workout video game/DVD addiction.

In an attempt to save money for said Fitbloggin’ trip, I’ve decided to put myself on a workout video game/DVD fast. This is tough for me because I only workout at home and easily get bored. Which is why I own so many.

Well a dear blog reader, Pauly contacted me and said she had Turbo Fire just sitting in her closet collecting dust. So, she said she would gladly send it to me!

I cannot wait to get it and challenge myself! Thank you so much again Pauly!

I really have the greatest readers/fans! I can’t thank you guys enough for the support you give me and for thinking I’m an inspiration. Can you believe that I hit 1,000 fan on my Facebook Page last night?!

I cannot believe it! Like I said on there last night, this small-town Midwest girl never thought in a million years I’d have fans all over the world! It’s awesome knowing you all look up to me! I want you guys to know that I also look up to you! Because I know the courage it takes to make a change and all the hard work it entails. I also know that every single one of you are worth it! <3

Just like you all come to me for inspiration, there are several people I go to too. One of them is Heather of Half Size Me. She has an AWESOME podcast where she interviews amazing people who have lost weight.

I try to listen weekly while cooking dinner. And I’ve been secretly hoping she would want to interview me.

Well guess what?! It’s going to happen! She contacted me and wants to do a podcast interview with me! There was total dancing around when I read that. I need to email her to work out the details and as soon as I know, you will all know! Gah I’m pumped! I love sharing my story!

Which I get to share my story tomorrow at my local Weight Watchers One Amazing Day! It’s happening all over, so be sure to check out the events at your local Weight Watchers! Here’s the link to find one near you: One Amazing Day Locations

So much good in my life right now. I’m forever grateful for everything! I hope life is treating you all well too!

What is amazing in your life?

163.8lbs Later

Brooke: Not On A Diet: 100 Things I Can Do Since Losing Half Myself!

In case you missed it, on Wednesday I weighed in at 163.6lbs. This means that I have lost a little over half of my original weight. I have lost myself in weight, which is completely and utterly surreal to me still. Two of me equals the old me. I have lost a human being in weight!

Holy freaking shit.

I was 164 at my Weight Watchers meeting, so I was .2 from making it WW official, but that doesn’t matter. Since I weighed in at 164, that it the top of my healthy weight range, which means I can apply to be a WW receptionist!! My dream of becoming a Weight Watchers employee can finally happen.

Umm..holy freaking shit. ;)

I thought that since this is such a HUGE milestone in my weight loss journey, that I would do a fun post. I’m going to share a list of 100 things that have changed since I weighed 327.6lbs!

Brooke: Not On A Diet 100 Things That Changed in 163lbs SAMSUNG SAMSUNGSAMSUNG

As you can see, a lot has changed. I love the changes and wouldn’t trade them for the world. Like number 100 says, I have a way better life now. Life is nothing short of amazing anymore. I’m happy, healthy, loved by a great man, and inspire people every single day.

If that isn’t worth all the hard work and dedication I have put into this journey, then I don’t now what is.

I hope that if you’re struggling, that you read this list and find it in yourself to see that it’s totally worth it!

Also, thank you all for the awesome response to my milestone. I tried my best to tweet, IG, and FB my thanks to you all. But with such an overwhelming response, it got tough. So, if I didn’t say it to you directly, please know that I am always thankful for you cheering me along. <3

Happy 3 years to me!

I posted this over on my Facebook and thought I would share it here….

3 years ago I decided to make a change. I walked into a Weight Watchers meeting and began a healthy lifestyle. Since then I’ve lost almost 130lbs and have gained so much! Thanks to everyone who has ever said encouraging words and even to those who have doubted me! Without you guys somedays I would have given up!

I cannot believe it has been 3 years since I walked into that meeting. It was by far one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life (I would say the best, but messaging B-Fry on that dating website is totally the best decision I’ve ever made!) and I’m so glad I did it. I couldn’t imagine my life any different now.

Pretty sure I wouldn’t have anything I have now. I’d probably still be that girl who would bake cookies and eat all of them herself in a dank apartment all alone. Instead I’m the girl who still bakes cookies, but now does it in her cute lil duplex where she lives with her amazing future hubby, whom she sends the cookies with to work. :)

Life is fucking awesome now. Thank you to everyone who has ever commented, tweeted, facebooked, texted, called, messaged, hugged, complimented, given me the truth when needed, or just sent me a good thought! Each and every one of them meant everything to me. And when I’m old and gray with my grandkids, I’ll pull up this site and say “Kids, your grandma was one bad ass bitch in her younger years! She lost a crap ton of weight, met amazing people, and married the man of her dreams. I hope someday you’ll do something amazing too.” Oh and I’ll totally be that grandma still doing half marathons and stuff. Lol!

Seriously though, thanks for all your amazing support!
