Introducing Florence!

Happy Monday everybody! Despite working all weekend, I had a pretty awesome one! I got something I have been waiting to get for a while!

Friday night, B-Fry and I headed to Target to pick up this bike, but they were all out. They didn’t have any other ones I cared for, so we headed across the river to Iowa’s Target. Where they didn’t have the original bike either, but they did have another beauty! After some test drives around the aisles of Target and some thought, I decided to pick it up. I was on the iffy side due to it having gears and hand breaks, but decided I need to upgrade!

So, here is Florence! The newest bike addition!

Meet Florence!

Isn’t she pretty? I love the green and pink together! Sadly we didn’t get to go on a ride on Friday night due to not getting done with dinner until after dark. But you can bet your butt I was up at 5:45AM the next morning to take her on her maiden voyage!

Riding along!

It was so awesome to be on a bike again! I find it to be one of the most relaxing things I can do. And it’s awesome exercise! I wish I lived in a town with a great bike trial, but luckily it’s a small town and I can ride everywhere without dealing with traffic. And the bit of trail we do have is pretty. :)

View of the boat yard from the trail!

I rode 2.75 miles that morning before work, then went and did another 3.5 miles Saturday night after dinner. Absolutely loved it!

Sadly, I haven’t been on the bike since because I’m battling some nasty allergy/cold thing and I’m super achy. So, right now I’m taking care of me and hoping to get rid of this thing soon!

How was your weekend?

Life in the Not On A Diet Household!

I’ve been MIA for a bit it seems. I’m glad to report it’s not because I’m slacking in the weight loss/exercise department! I’m actually excited to report that I hit 130lbs lost last Thursday!! I’ve actually been too busy to blog. So this post is just a quick catch up post with pictures! Who doesn’t love pictures?! :)

Home Sweet Home

Last Saturday B-Fry and I helped my parents move into the house above! It was the coldest day of the year of course! So I wore my snow pants and tried my best to stay warm! My parents now live closer which is GREAT! Before they lived at least 45 minutes away and now they’re 20 minutes tops. And only a couple of miles from where I work, so there will be lots more visits!

Supermodel Documentary Hour!

On Monday I got to play model for my future MIL’s open house for the CAbi Spring line. It was at a great wine bar in LeClaire called 129. Unfortunately the weather scared some people off, but it was still a lot of fun trying on all the clothes and playing model for the evening! PS: If you’re local and want to have a CAbi party of your own go here and get Kim’s info! They’re a lot of fun and the clothing is so cute!!

Delicious Dinner!

Tuesday was Valentine’s day! B-fry and I stayed in and made a delicious dinner of salmon, asparagus, and potatoes. And dessert was a healthy Oreo cheesecake! I made B-Fry a book of coupons for different things including a “A Full Day of All the XBOX You Can Handle” and a “Movie Date Of His Choice”. He loved it! And he got me a super cute Blackhawks hoodie!

<3 it!

Love my B-Fry!

Wednesday was a crappy day at work. I was dealing with PMS and just annoyed with my individuals. Not to mention a headache from hell. After whining via text to B-Fry about my day, he came home with flowers for me. :) These flowers meant much better than getting flowers on Valentine’s day. Because he got them for me to cheer me up, not because he felt obligated to because of the holiday. :) He is the best!

I got crafty!

Today is my day off. So in true day off fashion, I spent the morning playing on Pinterest! I stumbled up a pin for the website Wordle and created some art for the kitchen! I’m in love with it! I also menu planned and went to the grocery store where I picked up some new things. I hope to share them with you soon!

After all that was done, I put together my Foodie Penpal package to send off. I then decided that I didn’t want to get in the car again, so I dusted off Betty and rode my bike to the post office! I couldn’t pass up the awesome weather! It’s 45 degrees here today…in Illinois….IN FEBRUARY!! I even wore my skirt with leggings of course! I totally felt like Ms. Bitchcakes! It was great to get out!

Oh how I love a good bike ride!

See how happy I am?! Lol

Oh and a total side note, I got the invite to my bachelorette party today! Look how freaking cute they are!! I love my bridesmaids!!! :)

LOVE THEM!!

So that’s what has been happening around here! Life is great! Oh and a little update on my 30 Day Shred Challenge….I’m still going strong! I have 2 days left of Level 2, then it’s on to Level 3! Look for my Level 2 review soon!

What’s going on in your world?

Accomplished!

Remember about 6 weeks ago when I set some birthday goals for myself? Well, Sunday is my birthday and I’m super proud to report that I have accomplished 2 out of 3 of those goals!! :)

The goals were:

1) Bike 100 miles by my birthday
2) Workout at least 3x’s a week
3) Hit onederland

I have faithfully worked out 3-5 times a week over the 6 weeks! Which means I now have $60 in a ‘Fun Fund’!!

But the goal I am most excited to say I accomplished is:

I biked 100 miles!!!!!

I feel crazy awesome about accomplishing this goal! Not going to lie I was a little worried when there was a week where I couldn’t do much biking because of rain. But, today I finished my last 4 miles for a total of 100!

Accomplishing this goal means I can order a copy of Roni’s cookbook, Green Lite Bites!! I’m excited to get my copy!

Here are a few pictures from today’s epically awesome ride!

Riding the last mile!

After I hit 100 miles!

I was feeling pretty bad ass! :)

The only goal I didn’t accomplish was hitting onederland. I reached out on Facebook and a few people suggested I amp up my resistance training. So, I’m going to be putting that into motion after my birthday weekend!

Speaking of my birthday weekend, I’m pretty stoked about it! Tonight I’m doing dinner with B-Fry and his parents. Tomorrow I’m hanging out with my sister and mom all day. Then tomorrow night we’re going out on the town to have a few drinks and do some dancing! :) And on Sunday, B-Fry and I are going away for the night to Galena, IL. We’re staying at a nice inn with a lake, beach, and pool. And I have heard Galena is a super cute town. So I’m excited to get away for a night!

Oh and if you’re still shopping for my birthday present, I’m needing an iPad! I’m also needing kettlebells, a wedding photographer under $1000, and some new clothes cause a girl can never have enough of those! :)

What’s going on in your world this weekend?
