Some very lovely ladies in my life threw me an incredible shower almost a month ago and I haven’t had a chance to share it with you all yet! Partly because I haven’t taken the time to sit down and blog about it, but also because I became an aunt recently!
My younger sister and brother-in-law had their baby a little earlier than expected (her and I had due dates only 6 days apart!) on May the 4th! Thankfully everything is going quite well and my niece is hanging out in the NICU doing her best to gain weight. 🙂 She’s adorable and I can’t wait for Baby B and her to be the best of friends!
As I was saying, my baby shower was incredible and everything I imagined it would be. Everything was a total surprise to me except the invitations, which I helped picked out. Other than that, I was kept in the dark about the rest. So, when I walked in the door and saw everything for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised!
There was also this DELICIOUS looking dessert table!
I mean, look at this cake from Old Towne Bakery!
No worries, I didn’t dive into dessert right away. Although, I was tempted to swipe my finger along that frosting! 😉
After a tasty lunch, it was time to open gifts. Baby B received so many wonderful things! Adorable outfits, baby basics, and I even received a basket full of pampering items for me!
Some of my favorite gifts I received were the handmade ones. I’m lucky to come have some pretty talented ladies on both sides of my family who made Baby B beautiful one-of-a-kind gifts.
My mom crocheted her a bright blanket.
Mr. B’s aunt made her a fun quiet book.
And my mother-in-law hand painted her the cutest Mother Goose keepsake box.
I love that Baby B will have these things to treasure for many years to come!
I also love that she is surrounded by so many people who love her so much already! We really are fortunate to have such great family and friends!
So hard to believe that she’ll be here soon! I’m excited to meet her, but she has been ordered to stay in her cozy home for at least another six weeks! We still have plenty to do before she makes her entrance. 🙂
