NSV: Jeans

Last week I posted about how that even though I hadn’t hit 145lbs  lost, I’m still a success. That even though the number on the scale wasn’t showing yet what I wanted it to, I’m still kicking ass. This was proved even more on Saturday when I went to get some new jeans!

Mr. B decided that I needed a new outfit, so shopping we went. Now I still deal with lame shopping insecurities, where I’m sure the ‘skinny girls’ are staring and snickering at me. They’re not as bad as they used to be, but they still happen. The insecurities are part of the reason I had yet to own a pair of American Eagle jeans along with the fact that I hate spending more that $20 on jeans that won’t fit for long. But, Mr. B has always been pretty insistent that I get a pair of AE jeans, that I would love them and yadda yadda yadda.

Since Mr. B was doing the buying (ya, we still don’t have a shared account), I decided to humor him and go give the AE jeans a try. I picked out several pair and headed to the dressing room.

I hate to say it, but (cringe) Mr. B was right. I did like the jeans….a lot. They fit and made my butt look pretty amazing! Way better than the too big Old Navy jeans I was rocking with the poopy butt syndrome. (don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about!) We went to a couple of other stores, but ended up back at American Eagle.

I got the jeans along with a tank top and sweater to wear on our date night that night.

Rocking my new outfit!

The super awesome part about this whole story, is that the jeans are a size 10! Wanna know what the largest size I ever wore was…..

26W!!

These were a 10!!! Ya, pretty freaking amazing! I never would have thought in a million years that I’d be wearing a size 10 jean along with a medium tank top and sweater. This just shows that progress isn’t just measured on the scale!

Last night, I pulled out the jeans I wore to my first Weight Watchers meeting and compared them to my new SIZE 10! (can you tell I’m stoked?) I snapped a couple of pictures to show you all the amazing difference!

I now have a tiny waist! :)

This next picture really wowed me! Look at how big of difference there is in the leg width!

And to think the legs were tight in the bigger pair!

It’s always fun to pull on my ‘fat clothes’ and see how far I’ve come. I can actually fit both of my legs into one leg of those fat jeans. I’ll have to share that picture someday too!

All this goes to show that when the scale isn’t moving, our bodies are still changing. But I do have some good news to report from the scale! I weighed in on Wednesday and look what happened….

BOOM!

I did it! I exceeded 145 lost and hit 146lbs lost this week! Soon I’ll be out of the 180s!! Woot woot!!

Do you have any shopping success stories to share? Smaller sizes? Good deals?

    Whoo-hoo! I think it’s time for a new sidebar picture. <3

The worst part about shopping fright, I think, is that probably everyone feels awkward and worries that they are too [insert insecurity here]. I did a little shopping today and felt like everyone was staring at me.
