My Weight Watchers meeting this week was all about starting fresh. The meeting totally got me inspired and I jotted down notes the entire time. Love it when meetings are like that!
The concept was that Monday (Labor Day) marks the unofficial end of summer. School is starting and the weather is getting cooler (well it’s supposed to be…still waiting for that here in the Midwest!). And that there’s this feeling of starting fresh.
I completely agree with this concept! Summer is over and all the hectic planning of vacations, wedding, keeping the kids or significant others entertained, and really not having a set routine is coming to an end. I don’t know about you, but this summer was CRAZY busy for us over here! Things are finally starting to settle down and now that we aren’t in the midst of planning a wedding, we’re getting things done we has been putting off. (Thank You cards are TOTALLY happening….next week.
)
All this has got me thinking about how I too need to do some things when it comes to my healthy lifestyle and set some goals to work towards. I can’t remember the last time I set some goals for myself, so there’s no time like the present!

Let me break them down for you!
- Only Weigh-In At Meetings:
I’m a daily weigher. I wake up, pee, throw on my workout clothes, then step on the scale….every morning. Now I don’t usually let the scale affect my mood, but it has. If it’s a low weight then I might not push myself as hard during a workout. And if it’s a higher weight, I may become disappointed. It’s a stupid habit and I don’t need to be a daily weigher.
So, I’ve put the scales up (yes I have two) and will only be weighing in at my Weight Watchers meeting on Wednesday nights!
- Try A New Recipe Weekly
I love to cook and my Pinterest board is full on recipe ideas. I’m usually pretty good about trying new recipes, but this time around I want to make sure I’m trying new side dishes. I’m horrible at coming up with them. Guess I should have made this goal specific to side dishes. (just pretend that’s what it says!)
- Eat Simply Filling On Fridays
I believe this will be the most challenging goal for me. It’s easy for me to eat a couple of meals in Simply Filling form, but I’ve never done it for a full day straight. This of course will take some planning on my part. If anyone has some good Simply Filling recipes, let me know! I think that setting this to happen on Friday is really smart too because I tend to sway a little bit off plan on the weekends.
- Hit 150lbs Lost
So, I’m usually against setting specific weight goals, because it can really suck if you don’t hit the goal. But I want this one bad….like really bad! I want this one mostly for the reward that I’ve set for myself!
When I hit 150lbs lost I am buying myself Weight Watchers’ Active Link! I think it will be super beneficial in me hitting my goal weight! Sure, I could just buy it….but I would much rather earn it. That will just make it that more special!
- Write A Wedding Post
This seriously needs to happen. Mr. B and I have been married over two months now! I really want to share more pictures and the awesome ceremony I wrote with our tear jerking vows!
So those are my goals for September! All easily attainable and great!
Now your turn!
I want to know what your goals are for this month!
Also, What’s your favorite thing about fall?
I love the smell of burning leaves, the pretty fall colors, cooler nights, foods involving pumpkin, and Halloween! I also am looking forward to the birth of my cousin’s baby this fall too!!
