So, now that I don’t have a wedding to plan, I have some space up in my head. Which means I’ve been thinking of ways to improve my blog and the content. I feel like I slacked quite a bit the last few months due to wedding craziness. In my thinking I came up with the idea for Workout Wednesdays! This will be a weekly feature where I talk about a workout I’ve been doing, wether it be a video, or a specific move from Bootcamp. If there are other things you’d like to see, let me know! I’m here for you guys just as much as you’re here for me!
Now without further ado…here’s the first official Workout Wednesday post!
For my first post I’m going to share the workout I did yesterday. There wasn’t a formal workout for Best Body Bootcamp, so I decided to do something a little fun and silly.
Enter Dance Central 2 for the Kinect!
This was a staple for a couple of weeks when I first got it, but haven’t touched it in a couple of months. I wasn’t feeling the 30 Day Shred or a long bike ride, so this is what I did. After rearranging the living room and turning on the game, I went to “Fitness Mode” and scrolled down and found this:
I hit play and got my sweat on! I did a total of 14 songs and honestly I don’t know how the interval thing really worked. I couldn’t tell if one song was slower than the other or if the moves were more difficult. Either way, I got sweaty!
During each song there is a “Freestyle” period where you can dance however you wanted. For these I decided to not pull any dance moves (because I cannot dance), but I did jumping jacks, high knees, jump rope, and jogging in place. I alternated between the songs and thought it was a good way to get just an extra boost of cardio.
This was a super fun workout and I’m glad no one was around to see me do it. I quite frankly cannot dance very well. Lol. But that’s not the point of this game for me! For me it’s about moving my body, burning calories, and having fun! I totally suggest it if you’re looking for a workout out of the norm and one that will make you giggle while you sweat!
Do you have this game? What is your fun workout that you go to?
Also, thoughts on Workout Wednesday? Something you’d like to see again?
