Wedding Week!
Hello from the land of tulle, tissue poms, mason jars, and lists…lots and LOTS of lists! It’s WEDDING WEEK over here!
It’s unbelievable that B-Fry and I get married on Saturday….only 4 days away! It really seems like just yesterday I was talking about how nervous I was to go out our first date and celebrating one month. Then he put a ring on it and everything has been a crazy wedding planning roller coaster since then.
I haven’t talked much about planning the wedding, mostly because there just hasn’t been time. I will say that it has been something I am glad I’ll never be doing again. Lol. It is A LOT of work! From venue and wedding date changes, to having to order a new wedding dress; not much has been easy.
It may not have always been easy, but it has been fun. Working on all the little details that make it mine and B-Fry’s has been great. The late nights working on decor in Ames while drinking wine with my sister, aunt, and mom. Shopping for items with my mom and future MIL, cake tasting with B-Fry, and last night finding a place to print off our programs.
My to-do list is getting smaller but I still feel like there are a million more things to do. Crossing things off feels awesome though! Today’s agenda is to test out the lemon centerpieces and buy more tulle for the head table. Oh and pick up the programs we waited until last week to finish!
This will probably be my last post at Brooke Bomia….how crazy is that! Next time I’m around I will be Mrs. Birmingham. Eeek! So excited!!
Please be sure to send out good thoughts for awesome weather on Saturday! Right now there’s a 30% chance of rain….not cool when we wanna have an outdoor wedding! But, I’m not going to fret….not unless I can get a direct line to Mother Nature.

Introducing Florence!
Happy Monday everybody! Despite working all weekend, I had a pretty awesome one! I got something I have been waiting to get for a while!
Friday night, B-Fry and I headed to Target to pick up this bike, but they were all out. They didn’t have any other ones I cared for, so we headed across the river to Iowa’s Target. Where they didn’t have the original bike either, but they did have another beauty! After some test drives around the aisles of Target and some thought, I decided to pick it up. I was on the iffy side due to it having gears and hand breaks, but decided I need to upgrade!
So, here is Florence! The newest bike addition!

Isn’t she pretty? I love the green and pink together! Sadly we didn’t get to go on a ride on Friday night due to not getting done with dinner until after dark. But you can bet your butt I was up at 5:45AM the next morning to take her on her maiden voyage!

It was so awesome to be on a bike again! I find it to be one of the most relaxing things I can do. And it’s awesome exercise! I wish I lived in a town with a great bike trial, but luckily it’s a small town and I can ride everywhere without dealing with traffic. And the bit of trail we do have is pretty.

I rode 2.75 miles that morning before work, then went and did another 3.5 miles Saturday night after dinner. Absolutely loved it!
Sadly, I haven’t been on the bike since because I’m battling some nasty allergy/cold thing and I’m super achy. So, right now I’m taking care of me and hoping to get rid of this thing soon!
