Workout slump!

It’s 6:15am, I’m awake, have my workout clothes on, but have not one ounce of motivation to workout today. And it has now gotten to the point where I can’t get a workout in before I have to start getting ready for work. (working on weekends is a joke) So, I suppose there will be no sweating this morning.

Ever since Bootcamp ended, I really haven’t had the motivation to do much in the workout department. Same in the eating department. Last week  I tracked for one day, then didn’t open my WW tracker the rest of the week. Wanna know what that got me? A 2.4lb gain! I haven’t had a gain that big in a while and I don’t wanna see one of those again for a really long time either.

Life just has been crazy busy lately. I think we ate at home maybe twice last week. And this week is kind of turning out to be the same. And I really struggle with eating out on plan. I always have. So, this isn’t good for the weight loss of course.

I need a new approach to all this. A new plan, something to get me excited and motivated again. Something to make sure I’m still going to fit in that smaller wedding dress and look good on the beach for our honeymoon.

So, it’s time to work on a new workout plan, start tracking again (I’m 1 for 1), and order smart tonight at dinner!

Photo Dump: Bachelorette Party!

Oh, remember when I had a bachelorette party like FOREVER ago? Well, here’s the post I wrote about it. I was waiting for my sister to send a video to share with you all, but we never got it figured out. (We’re not always technologically smart. lol) Anyways, here’s some fun and photos for you all!

Incase you live under a rock and haven’t heard, I’m getting married. And in true fashion, I had me a bachelorette party! My sister and my cousin came up with the theme and adorable invites, which really couldn’t have been more perfect!

The theme was for all the ladies to wear a LBD. Well, I have never owned a LBD, so the hunt was on! I actually didn’t have to do much hunting and found one when I wasn’t even looking! It was a steal too! Oh, and a size 12!

So, I had the dress, but had to wait ‘patiently’ for the party. Finally March 9th came around and my girls (minus Jenny!) came into town! We met at my parent’s home where we made inappropriately shaped cookies and talked about wedding plans.

What’s a party without cookies?

Saturday was bridesmaid dress shopping! (and the day I exchanged my dress for a smaller size!) I’m happy to report that we found a flower girl dress, and bridesmaid dresses! I’m so excited for them! All the girl are going to look fabulous! We then checked into our hotel, which was a big mess, but thankfully everything got figured out! And got ready for the party!

Dinner was fun, my mom, my aunt, and flower girl were there. Along with B-Fry’s mom, and two cousins. After food and a couple of drinks, we were off to hit the town!

We had all intentions of riding the cheap bus to different bar areas around the Quad Cities, but ended up staying at The District in Rock Island. The first place was lame, because we were literally the only people there, but that didn’t stop us from hitting the dance floor! The next stop was a little more happening. Sadly this is also where the worst part of the night took place! My dear friend, Lady J ended up completely biffing it and hurting her ankle pretty badly, I actually had to drop her off at the ER the next morning! (No worries, it was just a sprain and she’s doing better now!)

This was also the bar where the DJ asked what I wanted to hear, and I shouted “Baby Got Back.” I would soon regret this… As soon as the song came on, I hit the little ‘stage’ they have to dance. I really thought my ladies would follow, but nope, they left me to dance alone. Oh, and then proceeded to record it!

After this little number, my cousin came back in and exclaimed they were having karaoke at the bar next door. Umm….this chick can NEVER pass up karaoke! While there I sang a killer “I Will Survive” and did a duet with Lady J to “Hungry Like The Wolf.” (Sidenote: Lady J and I bonded at a Duran Duran concert, where we were so close they could pee on us!) This is the place we spent much of the rest of the night, until I demanded a martini! So off to Icons we went where we ended the night. We had to end up calling my mom to come get us because our taxi never showed, I’m sure she loved that call! (Thanks mommy!)

All in all it was a great night! No one got crazy and we all had fun! I must say I’m super glad I’m only getting married once! I don’t know if I could survive another night like that! Lol

Bootcamp Results!

Well it has been 8 weeks since the beginning of Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp! Hard to believe it is already over! It went so quickly, even when it seemed to drag with the tough workouts at times.

I just wanna say, I ABSOLUTELY love BBB!! The hard work that Tina put in was amazing and the people who participated were so supportive on the Facebook group. Sadly, I didn’t win any of the awesome prizes (congrats to those who did!), but I did get some awesome results from the program!

So let’s get on to the fun stuff!

I’m pretty happy with my results! I’m sure they could have been better if I wouldn’t have slacked off the last couple of weeks. Now on to pictures!

My workout plan now is to just continue to workout. I’m going to incorporate my BBB workouts for sure because they’re so great. And I’m also going to focus on stretching/yoga more, I tend to not realize how important stretching is. And boy is it important!

I was going to set up some goals for May, but I don’t have time to focus on goals. I get married in 60 days and things are getting crazy. I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing. Tracking, working out, and going to meetings. There is one goal I’m going to work on though!

It’s no surprise that I’m obsessed with Pinterest! Seriously, who isn’t?! Anyways, I have a recipe board that is overflowing with recipes I want to try. So, my goal this month is to cook at least 2 new recipes off my recipe Pinterest board a week! I love to cook, so this will be an exciting goal to work on!
