Remember about 6 weeks ago when I set some birthday goals for myself? Well, Sunday is my birthday and I’m super proud to report that I have accomplished 2 out of 3 of those goals!!
The goals were:
1) Bike 100 miles by my birthday
2) Workout at least 3x’s a week
3) Hit onederland
I have faithfully worked out 3-5 times a week over the 6 weeks! Which means I now have $60 in a ‘Fun Fund’!!
But the goal I am most excited to say I accomplished is:
I biked 100 miles!!!!!
I feel crazy awesome about accomplishing this goal! Not going to lie I was a little worried when there was a week where I couldn’t do much biking because of rain. But, today I finished my last 4 miles for a total of 100!
Accomplishing this goal means I can order a copy of Roni’s cookbook, Green Lite Bites!! I’m excited to get my copy!
Here are a few pictures from today’s epically awesome ride!
Riding the last mile!
After I hit 100 miles!
I was feeling pretty bad ass!
The only goal I didn’t accomplish was hitting onederland. I reached out on Facebook and a few people suggested I amp up my resistance training. So, I’m going to be putting that into motion after my birthday weekend!
Speaking of my birthday weekend, I’m pretty stoked about it! Tonight I’m doing dinner with B-Fry and his parents. Tomorrow I’m hanging out with my sister and mom all day. Then tomorrow night we’re going out on the town to have a few drinks and do some dancing! And on Sunday, B-Fry and I are going away for the night to Galena, IL. We’re staying at a nice inn with a lake, beach, and pool. And I have heard Galena is a super cute town. So I’m excited to get away for a night!
Oh and if you’re still shopping for my birthday present, I’m needing an iPad! I’m also needing kettlebells, a wedding photographer under $1000, and some new clothes cause a girl can never have enough of those!
What’s going on in your world this weekend?
I ate healthy….
I gained 5lbs!!
Yes, I’m utterly frustrated about this. There isn’t really an explanation for the gain. But I’m going to brush it off and continue doing what I’ve been doing. I know that what I’m doing is right and I feel awesome about my decisions, so that’s all that matters.
I made a non weight loss ABA goal of giving up Diet Dr Pepper for the duration of the challenge. And I did will until this past weekend! I had two of them during my 12 hour shift at work. But, I haven’t had any since, so I’m back to being off the Pop. And I’m going to do it!
Oh and my other goal is to lose 5 inches off my body. I may be a little ambitious about this, but we’ll see how it goes.
I AM going to be Awesome By August! End Of Story!
If you’re doing ABA, how are your goals going?
You all know how much I love this guy…I mean, I AM marrying him and all…
But I must confess my new love….
Her name is Betty. (Thanks Emily!)
Ya, she’s a beauty!
And she sure has been seeing a lot of action lately! I take her out almost daily now. Sometimes on 2 mile rides and even extreme as 10 mile rides!
Don’t worry, I take B-Fry with me sometimes too! Betty doesn’t mind!
Seriously though, I love having a bike. The only bummer about it is that I don’t have a bike rack for my car, so I’m stuck with doing 2 mile loops around my town. Maybe the birthday fairy will bring me one.
B-Fry and I have only been on one bike ride on the paths around here. It was nice to do a healthy activity with him. Hope there are going to be many more rides together!
Besides, he’s the best at taking cute pictures of me, like this:
Having a bike has also really helped in the weight loss department! In the last 4 weeks I’m down almost 10 lbs!
I think this new love will be around for a while!
What is your fitness love?
