Weekly Weigh In: This Chick Needs Goals Edition

Starting Weight: 327.6
Current Weight: 206.0
Last Week: 205.6
Loss/Gain: +0.4
Total Loss: 121.6lbs

I am absolutely frustrated with this gain. I tracked EVERYTHING that entered my mouth. Even the wine and chocolate I had on Valentine’s Day. I dipped into my weeklies, which is something I normally do. So, honestly, I don’t understand the gain. Dinner has been eaten at home every night this week and was all healthy recipes. So why the gain? Ugh.

If you’re keeping track that’s almost a 5 pound gain in 3 weeks. And I know why I gained a majority of it, it’s because of all that beer and food consumed during my AMAZING week in Colorado. But the gain this week totally baffles me.

The gain means I’m even further away from getting under 200lbs, which I want so terribly bad. But, I just can’t seem to get under it. I want to see the number 1 more than anything right now. Sigh.

Alright, I’m being a total Debbie Downer, so let’s mention some positives!

For Valentine’s Day, instead of going out to dinner, B-Fry and I picked out a healthy Hungry Girl recipe to make. It was pretty tasty and I liked that we stayed in and just enjoyed each other’s company. We’re going to go out tonight though, so that’ll be nice.

I made a new recipe on Tuesday night. I made stuffed peppers which we amazingly delicious! This was also a Hungry Girl recipe. I love her!

I’ve also been into making my own salad dressings lately. B-Fry and I got this awesome dressing thingy from Williams and Sonoma and it has dressing recipes on the bottle, so I’ve made a couple of those. And I’ve also made this pretty amazing dressing his grandma makes. It’s rather tasty.

Amazing Dressing Spinner!

I blame all this cooking and recipe trying on the kitchen in the duplex. It’s so spacious and the appliances are great that I can’t help but be in there! So, I’m sure there will be much more cooking going on!

I heart my kitchen!

Now let’s get back to this weight loss thing. I remember a time when I would set weekly goals to work on. For some reason (most likely laziness) I stopped doing them. Well, I believe it is time to bring them back. I obviously need to do something. This gaining weight thing doesn’t need to continue. I didn’t lose it to gain it back. So, goals it is!

* Drink 64+ ounces of water each day- I’ve been drinking a lot more pop lately and not enough water. So, this needs to change! Constant filling of my water bottle will be happening, along with frequent trips to pee! Lol

* Get at least a total of 90 minutes of activity this week- I haven’t worked out in forever. It is my utter downfall. I have the Wii Fit and several workout DVDs. So, there are no excuses. Plus I think a little friendly competition with B-Fry on the Wii Fit could be fun. :)

* Avoid wasting my daily points on snacks- This is easy to do. All those snacky things add up and just lead to more snacking. More veggies and fruit please!!

I think that those are some good ones to start out with. We’ll see how the go and I’ll report to you next week. Until then, have a good one!

Weekly Weigh In: Vacation Recovery

Starting Weight: 327.6
Current Weight: 205.6
Last Week: 201.4
Loss/Gain: +4.2
Total Loss: 122.0lbs

I returned home from the lovely Colorado on Sunday. I was quite sad to return because Colorado is so darn beautiful and I really feel in love with Breckenridge and the majestic mountains. And it is obvious by my weight gain that I really enjoyed myself on vacation.

I didn’t go bat shit crazy, but I didn’t really watch what I did either. Well, not as well as I would have if I was at home. I enjoyed a delicious cheesecake crepe from the crepe cart, a couple of red velvet cupcakes to meet my Bucket List item of eating a red velvet cupcake in all 50 states, and probably one too many beers. Not sure what it was about Colorado and the mountains, but I became a bit of a beer drinker. Which if you know me is very unusual, as I’m typically a vodka fan. Oh and there were a lot of sweet potato fries consumed and who could forget the several trips for hot chocolate.

Oh well, it was fun and I enjoyed myself a great deal. We did fun activities like tubing and snowmobiling. And there was a lot of walking to do shopping in the cute little shops in Breckenridge. Time spent in the lovely hot tub on the deck and in front of the fireplace. It was perfect and I wish I was still there.

Sadly, I’m still not there and I have come back to reality. The reality of work and finishing the duplex so it is a functioning home. There’s also the reality of getting back on plan so I can lose the weight. Reality of PointsPlus counting, exercising, and tracking.

So this week I’m focusing on tracking everything that goes in my mouth and counting the points. I’m going to write points on packages again and dig myself back into the program. It’s time to get under 200 and to hit that Lifetime status. I’m tired of this half assing it stuff. End of story.

I need something to work towards, a reward again. It has been awhile since I’ve rewarded myself, so it’s time. My goal is to get under 200 pounds for good. I really do feel like I’ve been saying that forever, but I’m not sure I really wanted it before. I want it now, I want it bad. So, I’m going to make it happen. And I’m going to reward myself with a new pair of tennis shoes for running. A pair I’m going to get fitted for. I’ve been wanting a good pair forever and if I’m going to start training for a 1/2 marathon, I’m going to need them.

That’s what I’m going to work towards and I’m totally going to rock it out. The weeks of half assing it are over.

Now on to some vacation pics! :)

Guest Post: Grandpa & Grandma Love

Everyone welcome the infamous B-Fry! If this post doesn’t prove why I love this man, nothing will. I cry everytime I read it! Now excuse me while I go have some fun in the snow!

Brooke…..There aren’t many things that I can say that have not already been said. Amazing, inspirational, role model, talented, smart, sharing, artsy and crafty (yeah, yeah, same thing) but she is. The most important is that she is beautiful and the love of my life.

Most people go through life trying to find their true love and true love to me is called Grandma and Grandpa Love. Let me explain a bit….My Grandma and Grandpa are the people that you see in movies, TV shows, and just on the street that you look at and you just know that they were meant to be and are madly in love. The kind of love were they finish each other’s sentences without any hesitation. Now everyone wants this love and would be crazy not to but how many people do you actually believe find it? Maybe you, maybe your parents, or even your Grandparents, well blog readers this guest blogger found it and her name happens to be Brooke.

I was never a blog reader and to tell you the truth, I didn’t exactly know what they were all about. Let’s just say that I didn’t really know what they were all about until I read this blog. Brooke gave me the perfect example to what blogs are all about. Inspiration is a perfect word when it comes to Brooke’s blog and I am sure you all can figure out why it is the perfect word. This blog may be about losing weight but it is about so much more…….just life and how important it is and how the littlest things can make the biggest impact. This blog is really a story and could even be a Disney movie, a story that my love of my life is able to share with really anyone in this world. Its makes me feel pretty special that I am part of this amazing story.

To all of Brooke’s readers…..thank you for being part of this amazing journey.

‘Til my next guest post,

B-Fry, AKA……..just kidding
