FLF: No Doubt!

Sorry I didn’t get this up yesterday. I totally forgot. I should really set a reminder in my BlackBerry. Lol

I love the band No Doubt. A LOT! They really are my all time favorite band.

I can remember the exact moment I first heard them. It was on the playground and a boy in my class had his CD walkman. I asked him what he was listening to and he said No Doubt and handed me the headphones.

It really was love at first listen. I begged my parents for the Tragic Kingdom cd for Christmas and when I opened it up that morning, we listened to it while opening presents.

Listening to that CD floods me with memories of Baby Soft perfume, singing in the mirror, and watching MTV for hours hoping to catch the video for ‘Don’t Speak’. My best friend at the time and I became obsessed with Gwen Stefani and wanted to be like her. We had read in a magazine that Gwen had stickers saying ‘Whatever’ and ‘As If’ on her makeup case, so we quickly printed off our own versions and taped them all over our desks. We even had the same No Doubt poster in our bedrooms. Ya, we were fans. Haha.

My love for them never stopped. I made sure to buy all their CDs and patiently waited for them to go on tour.

My tour dreams were met last July. As soon as I heard they were going on tour, I KNEW I had to get tickets. So, my sister and I drove several hours to see my all time favorite band in concert. I had only been waiting 13yrs for this to happen.

We were in the very last row at the venue, but I didn’t care. I was there and would soon see Gwen, Tony, Adrian, and Tom in concert.

When they came on stage, I cried. This band meant more to me than any other band I had ever heard. They were there through good times, heartbreaks, and so many memories.

It was the best concert I’ve ever been too. And they’re currently working on a new CD. So my chances to see them again are highly likely. Woot!

So, that’s what I love! If you haven’t listened to them, go do so NOW!

I love No Doubt, too. Gwen was so much cooler in No Doubt! I love how you mention Baby Soft perfume…lol…reminds me of being 13 again! This was a great FLF blog! I am a little late posting mine.

OMG… I LOVE No Doubt!! Seriously one of my favorite bands of all time. And I agree with Quinn — Gwen Stefani was way cooler with the band than without.

Tragic Kingdom still remains one of my favorite albums of theirs. It brings me back to 15/16 years old again! :)

Baby Soft perfume! Oh man, I’d almost completely forgotten about that.

I’ve always liked No Doubt. I don’t like any of Stefani’s solo stuff and I didn’t like that she left the band, but I still love No Doubt.

Some lady did “Spiderwebs” last Friday at karaoke. I was like, “Damn! I could have done that! Why did I see No Doubt in the book?”

I’m so going to have to do “Don’t Speak” or something this coming Friday, just for you. I’ll make Mike take video. :D
