Weekly Weigh In and Awesomeness

Today’s weigh in went a lot better than I was expecting. I did quite a bit of drinking on Saturday night with my sister and her boyfriend. Which resulted in a late night run to Village Inn. Oh well, sh*t happens.

I ended up losing 1lb for a total of 102lbs! Not gonna lie, I love typing a triple number. Hehe.

So onto my goals before I get into my awesome news….

Monthly:

*Walk a total of 50 miles this month- I have 6 miles to go! Which I will rock out tomorrow.
*Do the 100 push up challenge (google it)- EPIC FAIL!! Obviously not happening this month. Oops
*Purchase a bike- I got one! Woo. I’ll be blogging about it and my first ride tomorrow hopefully.

This weeks goals:
*Drink 1gallon of water a day
- Check! It resulted in a ton of trips to the bathroom. Haha.
*Walk the rest of my 50mile challenge
- Will finish up tomorrow
*Try this new Hungry Girl recipe
- I did and it turned out super well! I’ll post the recipe soon!
*Track everyday again.
- I did great until Saturday. Everything went out the window on Saturday. Malibu and Diet Pepsi tends to do that. Lol

This week I’d like to:
*Set goals for the month of April
*Continue to drink a gallon of water a day
*Make good choices at the buffet we’re going to on Easter
*Look into starting the C25K, I sorta miss running. (Sorta…lol)

Now onto the AWESOME news you’ve all been waiting for! :o )

When I started going to Weight Watchers meeting in Bettendorf there was a pretty awesome leader named, Barb. She was super motivational, funny, and just all around great. Well she left in September unexpectedly. We soon found out that she had received a promotion and was now in charge of hiring leaders, making sure they’re doing their job, and doing trainings for several places around the Quad Cities.

We now have an equally awesome leader named, Becky. She’s great and I love coming to her meetings every week.

Anyways, today Barb made an appearance at our meeting. I was quite excited to see her and tell her about my 100lb loss and to thank her for being such a great leader.

After my meeting I went up to her and she gave me the biggest hug. I instantly teared up. She told me that they had called her about my 100lb loss and she was so proud of me. I rambled on about how I had her and Becky to thank because they were both an inspiration and was so glad to have found this meeting. I was just so excited to see her again and thank her.

Then she told me the best thing I could possibly hear. (Besides that I won a billion dollars. Lol) She told me that she was going to keep in touch with my leader and my progress and that when I hit lifetime, there’s a job waiting for me with Weight Watchers. (Yep, tears are starting again) I told her that would be so awesome and something I really want. She said that she would make sure that I’d have all the things I needed to get a job when the time comes. I thanked her again and went on my way.

I cannot tell you how great that news is to hear. Honestly thinking about it continues to bring tears to my eyes. The fact that she thinks I could be a inspiration to others and share my story to help them along their journey is so awesome. This news also motivates me to continue rocking it out. I want to be a leader, I want to be as inspiring as Barb and Becky have been to me.

When I started this journey last year, I had no idea that I would be this inspiring to people. I hear it almost daily via Twitter, this blog, Facebook, and in real life. I didn’t start this to inspire other people, I started it for me. But now hearing that I’ve inspired people keeps me going. I don’t want to let them down just as much as I don’t want to let myself down. So thank you to you all for continuing to inspire me as much as I inspire you. I love hearing about your journey too. Your losses, struggles, achievements, and all the great things that come with weight loss. So, keep up the awesome work!

Speaking of being an inspiration, my friend Jody was inspired and has recently started Weight Watchers with me and started a blog of her own. Be sure to check her out and offer support! Check her out here: Diary Of A Mad Fat Chick

Until next time…..

I’m going to be a supermodel!

Yesterday I stepped out of my box and did something I never thought I would do.

I was a model in a fashion show. :o )

Now this wasn’t some major production, but I did it and I’m quite proud of myself. I’m not one to usually step out of my box, but I’m working on it.  So far it has been a good thing. :o )

Anyways….here’s a few pictures from the show.

Also, as you can see I moved my blog. It’s a good choice for me all around. So, I’m sorry to any of you this upsets. *coughsarahcough* :o )

In other news, I will be guest posting on one of my favorite blogs soon. Ryan over at No More Bacon is someone I really admire, and I’m quite excited he’s letting me be a guest! :o ) I’ll let you know when it’s supposed to be posted as soon as I find out.

Speaking of that post….I better get to working on it.

Much Love!

Fun Loving Friday

So, I forgot about this until today when I read Quinn (http://skinnyquinny.blogspot.com) and Sarah's (http://shapestory.blogspot.com) blogs.

I'm supposed to post about something I love to take a break from all this weight loss talk. So today I'm going to talk about my awesome cat, Atticus. :o )

He's my baby and I love him. He is uber cuddly and leaps up into my arms when I pat my chest. Has an odd obsession with water and makeup brushes. And is just an all around kick ass cat.

So that's what I love.

And yes he's named after the dad in To Kill A Mockingbird. :o )
