A Year In Review

As many of you know, I’ve officially been doing Weight Watchers for a year now. 365days since I stepped on that scale at my first meeting and wanted to cry. Now when I see the number on the scale I want to dance around. And honestly, sometimes I do. :o )

I wish I could say this has been an easy journey, but it hasn’t been. There have been plenty of times I wanted to throw in the towel and call it quits. Yet, I haven’t. Sure there have been several off plan days…heck even weeks, but I always kick myself in the butt and get back on track. I wish I knew what it was that is holding me to this. It’s really like something just clicked that cold February day last year. I do remember saying to myself that I would never see 327.6 on a scale again. And I still don’t ever plan on seeing that number. I’m doing it this time. I’m hitting goal, and my skinny butt is going to stay there!

A lot has changed over the last year for me. Physically and mentally. Obviously the physical changes are the most noticeable, but if you knew me before this, you can see the mental changes too…..

This past year I’ve had a lot of people who’ve been rather supportive and I wouldn’t be where I am without them. So here’s a few shout outs and thanks. :o )

*My Mom- She’s the reason I’m doing Weight Watchers. She brought me to my first meeting and paid for half of them when I first started. She’s also been a great cheerleader every Tuesday when I report my weight to her via text.

*My Dad- Even though he doesn’t say much, I know he’s proud. He hugs me when I report a new weight loss landmark.

*Becky, my Weight Watchers leader- Thanks for all your wonderful knowledge and lovely poems! You’re a great motivation!!

*All My Weight Watchers email friends- You ladies are a great group and where there when I needed to vent about something, shared tips and recipes, and were very encouraging during our Biggest Loser Challenge.

*All the lovely ladies at my Tuesday meetings- You gals are great. I love hearing all the compliments and encouraging words. I love being your poster girl. ;o) (Thanks Ellen for the title)

*All my blog readers- I never get to respond to your comments because I’m unable to do so from my BlackBerry. But do know that I read every single comment! You all leave such wonderful things and keep me going somedays! I also get a lot of encouragement from reading your blogs.

*All my other family and friends- Thanks for sticking with me and for all the lovely compliments!

*My Lovely Sister and Weight Loss Coach, Tracey- No worries sis, I didn’t forget about you. I wouldn’t be here without you most of all. You keep me going and remind me that I probably shouldn’t be eating that. Thanks for trying my new recipes and helping me pick out the best looking fruit! I love you and can’t wait until we can both look hot at the beach!

If there’s anyone I forgot, I’m sorry. I thank you too!!

Now, I’ll end this post with some pictures throughout my journey. Enjoy! And I hope you all stick with me for the next 365 days!!
