2010 Goals!

I decided to make some goals for myself this year. I got the idea from one of my BlackBerry Messenger friends. :o )

I'm not making resolutions because I'm not looking to resolve anything. They would be better called evolutions because I'm evolving as a person. But we won't bother with technicality of it. I made two lists. One involves things having to do with my weight loss and one is just general things I'd like to do.

My weight loss list:
* Try a new recipe each month
* Fit into a size medium shirt
* Lower my BMI to the overweight range
* Run/walk a half marathon
* Do Race for the Cure
* Workout for 30mins at least 3xs a week

General List:
* Take more pictures
* Participate in NaNoWriMo
* Make new friends
* Get my shopping habit under control
* Buy a laptop

So those are my lists. I think having them posted here will be a good thing. You guys can help keep me accountable. I'll also be posting them somewhere I can see them everyday.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year! I think 2010 is gonna be a great year for everyone!

Recommitting

I did have a gain from all the holiday food I ate. Luckily it was only .2lbs. I really thought it would be something like 2lbs. So, I'll gladly take the .2! In fact it's probably gone by now.

Well maybe. I did have some delicious Thai food last night. The crispy mango chicken was to die for! I may have dreams about it. Hehe.

I've decided that I'm recommitting myself to Weight Watchers today. I have been off plan really since Thanksgiving. My weight loss hasn't been great because of it. So, today I'm getting back on track.

I have my tracker all filled out and I measured everything I brought for lunch tonight at work. I'm loving the digital food scale I received for Christmas! I went grocery shopping yesterday and bought good foods. I was also quite happy to find tangelos in the produce section! They're my favorite and they've been missing for awhile.

Today I'm going to get my butt up and workout too. I can't let the cold weather be an excuse. I can use the Wii or do some of my Walk Away the Pounds dvds. I can already tell I'm not in as good as shape as I was one month ago. I'm kicking my butt into gear!

Here's to hopping back on the Weight Watchers wagon!

Either later today or tomorrow I will be posting my goals for the new year. This is the first year I will NOT be putting 'start a diet' on my list. :o )

The Holidays

Well, it's safe to say I survived the holidays. Not sure how I did, but I'm here!

I do know that I ate horribly pretty much this whole week. I also did some drinking, but not as much as I could have.

Wednesday was an alcohol filled night. I may have found a new drink of cherry vodka and lemonade. Very tasty, yet very points filled. At least I'm out of vodka for the time being. :)

Thursday was Christmas Eve. My family went to my aunt and uncle's house for dinner. Dinner consisted of fried foods. Including: fish, shrimp, mushrooms, green beans, and corn nuggets. Eek! I haven't had fried foods in awhile and boy did I feel crappy afterwards! I now know why I don't eat fried foods much anymore!

Friday was Christmas. So my mom made a typical Christmas dinner of ham, corn casserole, cheesy potatoes, and rolls. Dessert was my famous Pumpkin Cheesecake Mousse. (I'll post a recipe soon!) I didn't do too bad considering how much I love my mom's potatoes!

Sunday was our big Bomia family Christmas. Last year we decided to spice things up and do a mexican themed dinner. We did the same this year. I brought along a healthy chicken dish so I would have a better option compared to everything else. I did eat my chicken, but I also had other things with it. My mom made a mexican cheesecake dish for dessert and I could have killed her for doing so. Cheesecake is my weakness! This stuff was awesome!! So instead of just one square, I had 2 1/2! Eek!! I do believe it may have been worth it though.

There's also the cookies and chocolate littered throughout the week. So I'm sure I've consumed enough calories for 3people. I weigh in today, so we'll see how much damage was done.

Oh, I lost 3.2lbs last week! I forgot to update you all! I was rather happy with that!

In other news, my car died yesterday. The fuel pump went out and it's going to cost like $300 to fix. I only paid $500 for my car. I will be hauling it to a junk yard and driving my brother's car until I can get a 'new' one. Oh the joys of being an adult!

Here's to a new week ON PLAN!
